Sarah Shallwani

Sarah is a proud graduate of McMaster University, where she graduated with her Masters in Occupational Therapy. She has since worked as a community Occupational Therapist, primarily servicing residents of the Hamilton Centre. Sarah is passionate about her role in enabling adults to maximize their safety and independence in daily living and has helped clients with accessing a variety of services from the Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) since the start of her career. From servicing individuals in their home, Sarah has an acute awareness of the practical needs of individuals and families affected by cancer as well as the profound impact CAP has played in many lives. She is pleased to be a part of this wonderful organization and contribute her knowledge and experiences.

Sarah is an active member of the Hamilton community and currently sits on the City of Hamilton’s Seniors Advisory Committee. In her free time, she enjoys reading literature on mindfulness as well as exploring Hamilton’s beautiful trails with her husband and Shih-Tzu, Molly.
