Argo Basu

Argo is a scientist and innovation leader with over 15 years of experience spanning molecular biology, diagnostics, and healthcare innovation. He currently serves as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of UnikBitZ Consulting, where he supports organizations at the intersection of science, innovation, and commercialization.

Argo previously served as a Senior Scientist for innovative MedTech companies. There, he played a key role in commercializing several diagnostic products, including a novel prostate cancer diagnostic test that is currently available to Canadian patients. He is also experienced in establishing clinical laboratory infrastructure. His work focuses on translating scientific discoveries into clinically validated solutions while ensuring regulatory and operational excellence.

Beyond his professional work, Argo is passionate about community leadership and has a long history of supporting startup ecosystems and cancer patient support groups.

Argo lives in Hamilton with his wife. He is a serious amateur photographer with a fondness for vintage film cameras. In his free time, he also enjoys creative writing, hiking, and exploring the local arts scene.
