For approximately four hours a week, our fully screened and trained Nanny Angel volunteers engage kids in person with fun, age-appropriate activities that equip them with coping skills needed to handle their parents cancer journey and thrive despite it.

This virtual program provides children with a homework buddy to guide, encourage and help them problem solve to build routine and confidence. For two hours weekly, our Homework Angel volunteers engage kids in one-on-one virtual support to help them overcome learning obstacles and encourage a positive work ethic.

Fun in a Box is a monthly activity box delivered to the door. It includes age-appropriate, creative, and engaging activities designed by our Child Life Specialist team. For two hours a week, Activity Angel volunteers engage kids in age-appropriate virtual play so parents can take the time to rest and focus on their well-being.

To support immunocompromised parents we teamed up with different local caterers across the GTA, Kingston and Hamilton to provide families with free, healthy and delicious meals right to their front door!

Participants will have the opportunity to connect with other parents, share their own experience
and learn more about the grief process. This group is hosted by a Social Worker.

Hosted by a registered nurse, this group provides a safe space for moms with cancer to share their experiences, ask questions and build supportive relationships.

Peer Connections is a virtual and safe space for youth aged 12-16 to connect with other youth impacted by their parents’ cancer diagnosis or parents’ death.

Child Life Specialist provide psychosocial support to children and families. Through our Teddy Bear Clinic children learn about their caregiver’s cancer diagnosis and treatment in order to lessen fear and misconceptions. Child Life Specialists also support children facing grief and bereavement by offering 6-8 support sessions.
